If you are going to help your clients achieve their goals, enrich their lives, and discover new horizons - how do we accomplish that? Robert will present a four step approach to “peeking” inside your clients mind:
1. Current Reality – How to determine what your clients know and don’t know, creating a baseline for moving forward toward a successful financial future
2. Richly Imagined Future – Where do your clients want to go? How to get them to create goals and how to get them to open up to you about future they desire
3. Aptitude for Disruption – How to get clients to change their self-defeating financial behaviors (and how to identify if you have any of your own…)
4. Choices – In order to help your clients make the proper choices, you’ll have to explain to them the “power of choice” (hopefully you are leading by example…) |

A sought after speaker at seminars across North America, Robert writes articles on personal and financial development issues and writes a bi-monthly column for Enterprise Magazine. Update from the California State Controller
CE: None |
|
|
John Chiang was elected in November 2006 to serve as Controller of the State of California, the eighth-largest economy in the world. Taking office in January 2007, Controller Chiang took immediate action to make the State’s finances more transparent and accountable to the public and to weed out waste, fraud and abuse of public funds. He has led efforts to reform the State’s public pension systems, helped local governments navigate difficult economic times, protected California’s precious natural resources, returned more than $1 billion in unclaimed property to the rightful owners, and launched financial and tax assistance seminars for California’s working families, seniors, small businesses and non-profit organizations. The Controller’s aggressive audits have in three years identified $1.8 billion in taxpayer dollars that were denied, overpaid, subject to collection, or resulted in revenues, savings and cost avoidance. As the State’s chief fiscal officer, John Chiang brings extensive experience and fiscal leadership to the State Controller’s Office. Chiang was first elected to the Board of Equalization in 1998 where he served two terms, including three years as chair. He began his career as a tax law specialist with the Internal Revenue Service and previously served as an attorney in the State Controller’s Office.
